Mount Albert Grammar School - staff and students - are inspired by the work of the Cancer Society and all they do for those affected by cancer here in New Zealand. Our students choose to enter this event to support others, to remember lost ones and to celebrate survivors. This is a wonderful event and we are so proud of all those who are involved. Thank you to those of you who have already donated money to sponsor our MAGS students. Every dollar that you give becomes a donation to the Cancer Society to enable them to continue doing all the amazing work they do.

We are all touched by cancer somehow – why not do something about it? I also do it in memory of all the brave people out there that is battling a disease and still live life normally as if nothing is wrong – that is true bravery.

The Summer holidays are coming up for those of you who are not yet out of school. And what better thing to do in your holidays than read comics? Well I guess you could go outside ... and read comics. So here's some basic myths about comics debunked followed by details on how you can get into comics that would interest you. 1. They are hard to read. A common comment I hear from people is that comics are too hard to read, the thing is - they're not really. And that's not because I was brainwashed from a young age to understand them.
